The CPI CERTIFICATION is Real Estates most exclusive designation.
It is patterned after The GRI Designation which consists of 64 hours of approved Consumer Protection courses, 8 hours of Consumer Service courses and 20 hours of Mandatory Courses: 3 hours each of Agency, Ethics, Trust Funds, Fair Housing and 8 hours of Risk Management. CPI is the practical and actual application of a Code of Conduct.
The GRI course is an excellent designation. The weakness of the GRI course is agents can achieve the designation through classroom attendance only, there is no requirement to actually sell real estate. The CPI Certification is for Agents who have achieved and are recognized for high sales volume, who take their learnt skills and consistently demonstrate and provide Award Winning Service with professional competence and integrity.
The exclusive CPI DESIGNATION is restricted to agents who have demonstrated the GRI goals in actual sales with a large volume of transactions complying with all regulatory mandates. Further demonstrated through proven compliance with matters of Agency, Monetary and Trust Fund handling, Ethical Excellence, Fair Housing all consistently documented with a large volume of transaction.

Nomination criteria.
Nominations will be accepted from Managers/Owners only. To keep the high integrity of and value of the Ethos Award you are required to fill out and notarized in full certifying the nominee is of outstanding character, reputation, someone you would use or recommend if you were not in the business.
That the nominee combines sales volume with great service, has superb negotiation skills, strong area knowledge.
Upon receipt RET and Associates will investigate the potential candidate requiring a randomized list of sales to vet, these clients will be contacted and asked about the service, ability, and character of the nominee, along with competing agents.
